Wednesday 17 December, 6.30pmOne City, One WorldIn the beautiful surroundings of St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, this carol service promises to be a wonderful event. 0pen to anyone who wants to come in from the cold and get their Christmas celebrations off to a spectacular start, the service is completely FREE. Plus, this is church with a difference...Celebrity readers will include: TIM CAMPBELL founder of Bright Ideas Trust & Apprentice winner LORD BILL MORRIS former President of the TUC GILLIAN JOSEPH Sky News presenter DAVID LAMMY MP Minister of State for Higher Education BASHY critically acclaimed young MC & rap artist DIANE PARISH Eastenders actress PATIENCE AGBABI poet and performer KAMALESH SHARMA Commonwealth Secretary-General ARCHBISHOP DESMOND TUTU will give the final blessing via video-link. Trumpeters from the Grenadier Guards, the Haringey Youth Steel Orchestra, the choir of St Mary Abbots, Kensington and Hornsey Girls Gospel Choir...this is an event not to be missed! Caribbean Christmas Party |

Join us after the Carol Service for a Caribbean-themed Christmas Party in the stylish surroundings of the Commonwealth Club - London's premier multicultural private members' venue. Dance the night away to the live calypso and reggae beats of the The Keith Waithe Calypso Quintet. There will be free rum cocktails and tropical fruit juices, as well as delicious Caribbean bowl food. To book your ticket, email Public Affairs or call on 020 7766 9235. Tickets cost 20 (25 non-members). Christmas Rum Cocktails will be sponsored by Appleton Estates Jamaican Rum and tropical soft drinks by Rubicon. |
